Our inaugural event saw one of the worlds first online qualifiers outside of the CrossFit Open. The qualifier whittled over 1000 entrants down to the best 60 male athletes, 60 female athletes and 40 teams.
On February 11-12th the 300 athletes from around the UK, Europe and beyond descended on Brunel University IAC in West London to duke it out as the winners of the first ever London Throwdown.
Year 2 saw the removal of teams so we could focus more on running a stellar individual event. With the introduction of the masters division, the event was catapulted to new heights.
Following another round of tough qualifiers, 280 intrepid athletes marched onwards towards the finals on 27-28th January. Included in the mix of athletes were a number of CrossFit Games and regional level athletes.
