The points available in each of the Events mean that a win in each event is worth the same.

For example, for the RX divisions where there are 42 athletes in each division, a win is worth 42 points, 2nd place 41 points, last place 1 point. In Event 5, where the number of athletes is reduced to 24 in each division, a win is still worth 24 points. 2nd place is worth 22 points, last place 2 points. The number of points means that a win in any of the later heats is worth the same as a win in an earlier heat. Where the calculations do not result in a whole number of points, points are rounded to the nearest whole number.
